The amazing thing about my job if you can call it that is that we get to spend amazing times with amazing people in amazing places! Amazing it is then! That’s official! This shoot was no exception to that. I was fortunate enough to be introduced to Tom Ashwell and his family through the editor of Digital SLR Photography magazine Dan Lezano. I was asked to shoot a piece on families for the magazine that incidentally went out in July ( June issue ) if you haven’t seen it! Also our Part two of this shoot is due out in a future issue of Digital SLR Photography Magazine.
So the date was set and we headed off for North Wales, Anglesey to be exact. Meeting Tom in their wonderful home on the banks of the estuary , fishermans cottages knocked together. The setting was only outdone by the hospitality and warmth of the family. We had a wonderful time making the most of the shoreline and having great fun with Tom, Nicki & the girls. We had sun and rain and crazy wind but that didn’t stop the shoot. I cannot thank Tom and his family enough for allowing us to witness and capture a snippet of his family life, it was a joy and a shoot that will stay with me for a long , long time.
